(1) (a) The Director-General must as soon as possible after the commencement of this Act establish a body which is to be an association representing military veterans’ organisations nationally. (b) The Minister must publish the date of establishment by notice in the Gazette. (2) The Director-General must in conjunction with military veterans’ organisations create mechanisms to ensure that the association serves as an umbrella structure representing military veterans’ organisations.
