Statute overview

About this statute

Section 1 is amended by deleting definition numbering and replacing the definitions of “regulation” and “research”. This provision amends Article 1 of the Scientific Research Council Act, 1988 by changing wording and updating definitions. The Council must comply with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999. This section amends section 4 by deleting subsection (2) and replacing subsection (4), which lets the CSIR cooperate in research with specified public and academic bodies and other persons. The Minister may decide that certain CSIR property must be transferred, after consulting the Board.
