This section says certain terms keep the meanings given in the Appropriation Act, 2008 unless context shows otherwise, and that spending the appropriated amounts must comply with the Public Finance Management Act. Appropriations listed in the Schedule must be used only for the stated purpose and not for any other purpose, unless an Act of Parliament changes that purpose. This section says the Act is called the Adjustments Appropriation Act, 2008. The Presidency’s aim is to lead, manage, and develop government’s strategic agenda and oversee its delivery by government as a whole. This provision is titled “Executive Co-ordination.”

(1) Adjusted appropriations by Parliament of money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State in the 2008/09 financial year, to votes and main divisions within a vote, and for the specific listed purposes, are set out in the Schedule. 10 (2) The spending of appropriations contemplated in subsection (1) is subject to the Public Finance Management Act.
