Section 1 of the Firearms Control Act. 2000 (hereinafter referred to as the principal
This section amends the Firearms Control Act definitions for airgun, firearm, security officer, and security service provider, and deletes the definition of security company.
1. Section 4 of the principal Act is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection
An incidental barrel-length alteration by a gunsmith, done in the ordinary course of work and not aimed at changing barrel length, must not be treated as the kind of alteration covered by the subsection.
2.
