About this statute

A person must not disclose information about another person that was obtained while performing functions under this Act, except in listed cases. If a court convicts someone of an offence under this Act, it may, at the public prosecutor’s request, order certain seized items to be forfeited to the State. The Minister may make regulations, grant exemptions by regulation, and delegate certain powers or duties; the MEC may also delegate or assign powers or duties. Regulations may also set fines or imprisonment for contraventions. This section states the Act’s short title and includes schedules listing animals covered and laws repealed or amended.
