Statute overview

About this statute

The Board may form and appoint committees from among its members when it considers that useful for its functions. The Board may delegate some powers or functions to a committee or employee, but it cannot delegate certain core powers. A person cannot be appointed to the Board if the person’s office is likely to let them exert undue influence on matters the Corporation is responsible for. Members of the Board, committee, and employees must disclose conflicts of interest, step aside from deciding the matter, and must not vote on it. The Board may, with consultation and Ministerial approval, give retirement benefits to employees, set up benefit funds, and require employee contributions to those funds.
