About this statute

This section gives the Act’s short title and says it starts on a date set by the Minister through a notice in the Government Gazette. This Act applies in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, except for section 50. A person must not unlawfully and intentionally enter or interfere with a computer system. A person must not intentionally keep using a computer system after the permitted time has ended. This provision prohibits intentional unlawful interception or interference with non-public communications or protected computer systems.
