THE ENERGY AND WATER UTILITIES REGULATORY AUTHORITY(THE INQUIRY ON MULTI YEAR TARIFF APPLICATION BY MBULU WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY NOTICE,2022

1. This Notice may be cited as the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (The Inquiry on Multiyear Tariff Application by Mbulu Water Supply and Sanitation Authority Notice, 2022.

2. In this Notice, unless the context otherwise requires- “Authority” means the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority established under the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority Act; “Director General” means the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority; application for tariff adjustment” means an application to adjust water supply tariffs; “Multi-Year Tariff” means rates and charges that are expected to be effective for a duration of two years which may change annually based on the approved Mbulu Water Supply and Sanitation Authority business plan; and “inquiry” means the entire process of receiving comments from stakeholders with regard to the proposed tariff adjustment. 4. The proposed tariffs and fees for Mbulu Water Supply and Sanitation Authority are as specified in the Schedule of this Notice.

5. Anyone who wishes to participate in the inquiry may do so by submitting his written views pertinent to the inquiry to the Director General at the address specified in paragraph 9 of this Notice within fourteen days after the publication of this Notice.

6. Any person who intends to object the approval for a tariff application shall lodge his objection in writing within five working days from the date of the public notice.

7. Copies of the applications are available at the Authority’s offices during working hours from 9.00am to 5.00 pm for public knowledge and use about these matters and further details may be obtained upon written request to the Director General at the address shown in paragraph 8.
