About this statute
This section says the Rules may be cited as the Electricity (Electrical Installation Services) (Amendment) Rules, 2023 and must be read together with the principal Rules. This provision defines “Recognition of Prior Learning” as a certificate issued by the relevant training institution or Authority for a person’s academic or practical competency in electricity. The Authority may exempt a person from needing a licence if licensing that person may create a conflict of interest. This provision amends rule 6(1) by deleting paragraph (e) and renumbering paragraphs (f) to (h) as (e) to (g). The amendment reserves licence classes S3, D, and C for Tanzanian applicants and says foreigners must not be issued those licences.
