1. This Notice may be cited as the Petroleum (Direct Award of Blocks 4/1B and 4/1C to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation) Notice, 2023.

2. The Blocks 4/1B and 4/1C located in the Deep Sea at Indian Ocean are directly awarded to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation as a National Oil Company. Description of location areas

3. The description for the area of land designated under paragraph 2 is as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation’s right in respect of awarded Blocks

4. The Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation is hereby permitted to conduct exploration and development operations in the awarded Blocs 4/1B and 4/1C as per the terms and conditions to be agreed between Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation and the Government and the license to be granted as required under the Laws of Tanzania.
