§ 1This Order may be cited as the Value AddedShort title

This section gives the Order’s short title and says it is deemed to have come into operation on 18 September 2019.

This Order may be cited as the Value Added Tax (Exemption) (Advertisement Services Relating to Institutional Support Project for Domestic Resources Mobilization and Natural Resources Governance) (Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC)) (M/S Tanzania Standard Newspaper Limited) Order, 2020 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 18th day of September, 2019. to

§ 2SubjectProvision

This section exempts the VAT payable on certain locally purchased advertisement services for TPDC, subject to specified conditions.

2. Subject the conditions specified in paragraph 3 of this Order, and any other conditions as may be specified by the Commissioner General of Tanzania Revenue Authority, the whole of the Value Added Tax payable on the provision of advertisement services for tenders specified in the Schedule to this Order locally purchased by or on behalf of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) from M/s Tanzania Standard Newspaper Limited to be used solely in the Advertisement Services Relating to Institutional Support Project for Domestic Resources Mobilization and Natural Resources Governance is 1 Value Added Tax (Exemption) (Advertisement Services Relating to Institutional Support Project for Domestic Resources Mobilization and Natural Resources Governance) (Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (Tpdc)) (M/S Tanzania Standard Newspaper Limited) GN. NO. 504 (Contd.) Conditions hereby exempted.

§ 3The exemption granted under this Order,Provision

The tax exemption stops if the services are used for other purposes or are sold or disposed of to someone who is not entitled to the same privileges.

3. The exemption granted under this Order, shall cease to have effect and the Value Added Tax shall become due and be payable as if this exemption had not been made if the said services are used for other purposes or sold or disposed of in any way to another person not entitled to enjoy similar privileges as are conferred under this Order.
