This section gives the Order’s short title and says it is deemed to have come into operation on 20 May 2020.

1. This Order may be cited as the Value Added Tax (Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development Program) (Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources) (M/s World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF)) Exemption Order, 2020 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 20th day of May, 2020.

(1) Subject to the conditions specified in paragraph 3 of this

Specified goods or services for WWF are exempt from the full VAT, if the stated conditions are met.

2.-(1) Subject to the conditions specified in paragraph 3 of this Order and any other conditions as may be specified by the Commissioner, the whole of the Value Added Tax payable on the goods or services specified in the Schedule to this Order, imported or locally purchased by or on behalf of M/s World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to be used solely by Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources in the project of Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development Program is hereby exempt. (2) For avoidance of doubt, the goods imported or locally purchased, whether directly by the Government entity or through a contractor shall remain the Government of Tanzania the property of Conditions

The exemption granted under this Order shall cease to have effect and the Value Added Tax shall become due and payable as if this exemption had not been granted where the said goods 1 Value Added Tax (Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development Program) (Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources) (M/S World Wide Fund For Nature (Wwf)) GN 592 (Contd) or services are used for other purposes or sold or disposed of in any way to a person who is not entitled to enjoy similar privileges conferred under this Order.
