This section gives the Order’s citation title and says it is deemed to have come into operation on 1 November 2020.

1. This Order may be cited as the Excise (Management and Tariff) (Remission) (Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development Program) (Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism) (M/s Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS)) Order, 2020 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of November, 2020.

Excise duty on the specified fuel and lubricants is remitted for FZS for the Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development project, subject to stated conditions.

2. Subject to the conditions specified in paragraph 3, and any other conditions as may be specified by the Commissioner General of Tanzania Revenue Authority, the whole of excise duty payable on fuel and Lubricants specified in the Schedule to this Order, imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs by or on behalf of M/s Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) for construction of Selous Ecosystem Conservation and Development project is hereby remitted.

The remission granted under this Order shall

The remission ends, and excise duty becomes payable, if the fuel or lubricants are used for other purposes or transferred, sold, or otherwise disposed of to someone without similar privileges.

3.
