The Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) (Amendment) Notice, 2023

1.-(1) This Notice may be cited as the Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) (Amendment) Notice, 2023 and shall be read as one with the Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) Notice, hereinafter referred to as the “principal Notice”. Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the principal Notice is amended in the Second column, by- (a) deleting the words “and MKURABITA” appearing in paragraph (j) of the designation “Presidency”; (b) adding immediately after Administration “Regional Government” the following: the designation Local and “Investment: (a) Policies on Investment and their Implementation; 1 Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) (Amendment) GN. NO. 407B (Contd) (b) Promotion of Domestic and Foreign Investment; (c) Business Environment Improvement; (d) Planning Commission Affairs; (e) Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) Affairs; (f) Public Investment Authority Affairs; (g) Coordination and Development of Industrial Parks, Estates and Clusters; (h) Export Processing; (i) Export Promotion; (j) International Organisations Relating to Investment; (k) Performance and Development of Human Resources under this Office; and Improvement (l) Extra-Ministerial Departments, Parastatal Organisations, Agencies, Programmes and Projects under this Office.”

3. The Second Schedule to the principal Notice is amended- (a) in the designation “Policy, Parliament and entry appearing Coordination” designating the Prime Minister, by- the in Amendment of Second Schedule (i) adding the Empowerment Development” word paragraph (a); words “Economic and Private Sector the immediately after in appearing “Enforcement” (ii) adding immediately after paragraph (j) the following: “(k) Economic Empowerment and Sector Private Development;” (iii) renaming paragraphs (k) to (p) as paragraphs (l) to (q), respectively; (b) in the entry designating the Minister for Finance and Planning, by- (i) deleting the words “Minister for 2 Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) (Amendment) GN. NO. 407B (Contd) Finance and Planning” appearing in the First Column and substituting for it the words “Minister for Finance”; (ii) deleting paragraphs (b), (c) and (d); and (iii) renaming paragraphs (e) to (u) as paragraphs (b) to (r) respectively; (c) by deleting the entry designating the Minister Industry and Trade and Investment, for substituting it for the following: “Minister for Industry and Trade (a) Policies on Industries, Trade Enterprises their and and Development Implementation; (b) Industrial and Trade Development; (c) Small and Medium Scale Development Enterprises (SMEs); (d) Industrial Infrastructure Development; (e) Intellectual Property; (f) Fair Competition Affairs; (g) Weights, Measures and Standards; (h) Market Intelligence and Trade Promotion; (i) Business Registration; (j) International Organisations Relating to Industries and Trade; (k) Performance Improvement and Development of Human this Resources Ministry; and (l) Extra-Ministerial Parastatal Departments, Organisations, Agencies, Programmes and Projects under this Ministry.”. under 3 Ministers (Assignment of Ministerial Functions) (Amendment) GN.
