The Excise (Management and Tariff) (Remission) (9 Motor Vehicles) (Courts Rehabilitation Project) (Judiciary of Tanzania) Order, 2023

1. This Order may be cited as the Excise (Management and Tariff) (9 Motor Vehicles) (Courts Rehabilitation Project) (Judiciary of Tanzania) Order, 2023 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 20th day of April, 2023. (Remission)

2. Subject to the conditions specified in paragraph 3 and any other conditions as may be specified by the Commissioner, the whole of excise duty payable on motor vehicles specified in the Schedule, imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs by the Judiciary of Tanzania to be used in Courts Rehabilitation project is hereby remitted.

3. The remission granted under this Order shall cease to have effect and the excise duty shall become due and payable as if this Order had not been made if the said motor vehicles are used for other purposes or are transferred, sold or disposed of in any way to another person not entitled to enjoy similar privileges as are conferred under this Order.
