The Local Government (District Authorities)(Transfer of the Powers to Perform Functions of Controlling Parking of Vehicles) Order, 2021

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (District Authorities) (Transfer of the Powers to Perform Functions of Controlling Parking of Vehicles) Order, 2021.

2.-(1) Powers of Township Authorities relating to functions of controlling parking of vehicles, establishing and maintaining parking meters and premises for the parking of vehicles are transferred to the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency. (2) The powers transferred to Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency shall be exercised in road reserves 1 Local Government (District Authorities) (Transfer of the Powers to Perform Functions of Controlling Parking of Vehicles) GN. NO. 687 (Contd.) that are maintained by the Agency and this Order shall, not, in any way, affect powers of the Township Authority to control parking of vehicles, establish and maintain parking meters and premises for the parking of vehicles in any other place other than road reserve.
