The Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Lindi WSSA) (Tariff Adjustment for Water Supply Services) Order, 2023

1. This Order shall be cited the Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Lindi WSSA) (Tariff Adjustment for Water Supply Services) Order, 2023.

2. Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority tariffs and fees are hereby adjusted as specified in the First Schedule to this Order. Conditions

3. The approved tariff shall be subject to the following conditions: to its (a) prior to issuance of the first bill based on approved tariffs and fees, Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall provide evidence to EWURA that it has notified its customers of the tariff order and has conducted an intensive awareness including customers, government and political leaders and religious representatives, among others; (b) on or before 30th December 2023, Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall submit to that EWURA a incorporates the approved tariffs and action plan for implementation of conditions of the tariff order. revised Business Plan stakeholders 1 Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Lindi Wssa) (Tariff Adjustment for Water Supply and Sanitation Services) GN. (c) Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall implement its projects by using funds generated from the approved tariffs and fees as specified in the Second Schedule; (d) on or before 30th June 2024, Lindi WSSA shall ensure that it extends the water network close to public institutions, health centres and schools, to enable them to get connected with tap water; (e) on or before 30th June 2025, Lindi WSSA shall supply water services to communities around its water sources; (f) Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall prepare and implement a customer outreach program and submit to EWURA an annual implementation report of the same; (g) Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall attain key performance indicators as specified in the Third Schedule; (h) Lindi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority shall, on an annual basis as part of its annual performance report, submit to EWURA reports on the implementation of each of the Tariff Order conditions and each cost item of the revenue requirement as specified in the Fourth Schedule.
