THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT) (AMENDMENT), 2016

1. These Regulations may be cited as the (Solid Waste Management) Environmental Management (Amendment), 2016, and shall be read as one with the Environmental Management (Solid Waste Management) Regulations, 2009, hereinafter referred to as the “principal Regulations”. Amendment of regulation 45

2. The principal Regulations are amended by deleting regulation 45 and substituting for it the following: “Penalty on litter “45.-(1) A person who commits an offence under shall on conviction, be liable- this Part, less in case of an individual, to a fine of not than fifty thousand shillings but not exceeding two hundred thousand shillings or to imprisonment for a term of not less than three months but not exceeding seven years or to both; and in case of a body corporate to a fine of not less than five million shillings.” (a) (b) 1 Environmental Management (Solid Waste Management) (Amendment) GN.No. 190 (Contd) Dar es Salaam, 17th May, 2016 Minister of State, Vice President’s Office Union Affairs and Environment JANUARY Y.
