About this statute

This section says the Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 and must be read together with the Immigration Regulations 1997. The Regulations are amended so that “Principal Commissioner” is replaced with “Commissioner General” wherever it appears. Regulation 4 is changed so that the fees listed in the Second Schedule must be paid for the matters in its tables. This provision amends regulation 17 of the principal Regulations by deleting subregulation (1) and replacing it with new text beginning with “Student Pass”. An Immigration Officer may issue a Student Pass to an admitted student in an approved training establishment for study or training.
