The Petroleum (The Imposition of Petroleum Fee) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Petroleum (the Imposition of Petroleum Fee) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 and shall be read as one with the Petroleum (the Imposition of Petroleum Fee) Regulations, 2021 hereinafter referred as the “principal Regulations.” (2) These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of December, 2021. 2. The principal Regulations are amended, by- (a) adding immediately after regulation 2, the following: “Deferment of collection

3.-(1) The Tanzania Revenue Authority shall defer the collection of a sum of the petroleum fee accruing in the period of December, 2021 as well as January and February, 2022 to cover the difference between- months by (a) the wholesale price for as those established the Authority under regulation 5 of the Energy and Water Regulatory Utilities 1 Petroleum (The Imposition of Petroleum Fee) GN. NO.789A (Contd) (Petroleum Authority Product Price Setting) Rules, 2009; and (b) the benchmark wholesale price determined pursuant to regulation 21A of the Petroleum (General) Regulation, 2021. (2) The Tanzania Revenue Authority shall recoup the whole of the deferred collection in subregulation (1) within three months from March, 2022.”; and referred to (b) renumbering regulation 3 and 4 as regulation 4 and 5, respectively.
