The Merchant Shipping (Safety and Emergency for Passenger) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping for Passenger) and Emergency (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 and shall be read as one with the Merchant Shipping (Safety and Emergency for Passenger) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the “principal Regulations”. General amendment by-

The principal Regulations are amended generally (a) deleting the word “Authority” wherever it appears in the Regulations and substituting for it the word “Corporation”; (b) deleting the words “Registrar of Ships” wherever they appear in the Regulations and substituting for them the word “Registrar”. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 3, by- (a) designating the content of subregulation (1) as regulation 3; (b) deleting the definition of the term “Authority”; (c) deleting the definition of the term “ship” and substituting for it the following: ““ship” means a floating vessel which is self-propelled and capable of 1 Merchant Shipping (Safety and Emergency for Passenger) (Amendment) GN.
