The Whistleblower and Witness Protection (Amendment) Regulations, 2024

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Whistleblower and Witness Protection (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 and shall be read as one with the Whistleblower and Witness Protection Regulations, 2023 hereinafter referred to as the “principal Regulations”. Amendment of regulation 5

2. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 5, by- (a) deleting paragraph (a) of subregulation (1) and substituting for it the following: “(a) acknowledge receipt by a notice to the applicant using Form No. 1A set out in the Schedule;”; and (b) adding immediately after subregulation (4) the following: “(5) The Minister shall, within twenty-one days from the date of receipt of the (4), determine such appeal and notify the appellant the decision forthwith.”. appeal under subregulation Amendment of regulation 7

4. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 10- (a) in subregulation (1), by deleting a semi colon appearing at the end of paragraph (g) and substituting for it a full-stop; and (b) in subregulation (2), by deleting reference to paragraphs “(a), (h)” and (c), substituting for it reference to paragraphs “(a), (c) and (g)”. 5.
