The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (The Inquiry on Very Small Power Producer (VSSP) Tariff Review Application by Powercorner Tanzania Limited) Notice, 2020

1. This Notice may be cited as the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (The Inquiry on VSPP Tariff Review Application by Power Corner Tanzania Limited (“Power Corner”) Notice, 2020.

2. In this Notice unless the context otherwise requires: “Authority” means the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority established under the Act; “Application for Tariff Adjustment” means an application to adjust electricity tariffs specified in Schedules to this Notice; “Inquiry” means the entire process of receiving comments from stakeholders with regard to the proposed tariff adjustment as specified in the Schedules; “Very Small Power Producer” or in its acronym “VSPP” means an electricity generator with an installed capacity of: (a) less than 15kW at a single site selling power to at least thirty retail customers; or (b) between 15kW and 100kW at a single site that either sells power at wholesale to a Distribution Network Operators or at retail directly to a customer; Purpose of the Inquiry

3. The purpose of the inquiry is to enable the Authority to collect views on the proposed tariff review for electricity service applicable from January, 2020. Requested Tariff

5. Anyone who wishes to participate in the inquiry may do so by submitting his written views pertinent to the inquiry to the Director General at the address specified in paragraph 9 of this Notice within fourteen days after the publication of this Notice. 6. Any person who wishes to intervene in these matters may submit in writing the intention to intervene within seven days from the date of this public notice.

7. Copies of the Applications are available at the Authority’s offices during working hours from 9.00am to
