The Criminal Procedure (Appointment of Cyber – Forensic Experts) Order 2024

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Procedure (Appointment of Cyber – Forensic Experts), Order 2024. Appointment of Cyber – Forensic Expert

2. A person whose name has been specified in the Schedule is appointed to be a Cyber – Forensic Expert for the purpose of giving report as evidence in any criminal case or related matters. Validity

3.-(1) The appointment under paragraph 2 shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of coming into operation of the Order. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subparagraph (1), a person appointed may serve for a period of less than five years where- (a) the employment of the person in the public service is terminated; or (b) his appointment as a Cyber-Forensic expert is terminated by the Director of Public Prosecutions. 1 Criminal Procedure (Appointment of Cyber-Forensic Experts) GN.
