The Forest (Intention to Declare Mlimasimu Forest Reserve) Notice, 2020

1. This Notice may be cited as the Forest (Intention to Declare Citation Mlimasimu Forest Reserve) Notice, 2020.

2. The area of reserved land within the limits and boundaries defined in the Schedule to this Notice is hereby intended to be declared as Mlimasimu Forest Reserve. Intention to make declaration

3. The purposes for which Mlimasimu Forest Reserve is proposed Purpose to be declared as such are:- (a) to protect the threatened area of tropical lowland forest which is recognized for its high biodiversity value with unique flora and fauna, including endangered species of plants and animals, some of which are threatened with extinction; and (b) to attain the intended management purposes, conservation of the forest land and wise use of forest resources in the forest area.

4. This Notice shall be valid for ninety (90) days from the date of publication within which any person or group of persons or a representative thereof may, in writing- Period of time (a) object to; (b) make representations; or (c) claim any rights based on and arising out of customary law in relation to land or forest produce or any rights based on any 1 Forest (Intention To Declare Mlimasimu Forest Reserve) G.N NO 189 (Contd) other law within the area the subject of the proposed declaration of a nature forest reserve.
