The Registration and Identification of Persons (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025

1. These Regulations may be cited as Registration and Identification of Persons (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025 and shall be read as one with the Registration and Identification of Persons (General) Regulations, 2014 hereinafter referred to as the “principal Regulations”.

2. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 16, by- (a) adding the words “ministries, local government institutions” and Government “agencies” authorities immediately the word after appearing in subregulation (4); and (b) deleting subregulation (5) and substituting for it the following: “(5) For purpose of this regulation- agencies” means (a) “security public authorities vested with legal mandate to deal with security matters in the United Republic; (b) “Government institutions” means public institutions which remit all revenue to the Consolidated Fund.”.
