The National Payment Systems (Electronic Mobile Money Transfer and Withdrawal Transactions Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Payment Systems (Electronic Mobile Money Transfer and Withdrawal Transactions Levy) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022, and shall be read together with the National Payment (Electronic Mobile Money Transfer and Systems Withdrawal Transactions Levy) Regulations, 2021 hereinafter referred to as the “principal Regulations”. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 7, by- (a) designating the content of regulation 7 as subregulation (1); and (b) adding immediately after subregulation (1) as designated the following: “(2) Notwithstanding the generality (1), where electronic of subregulation transfer and withdrawal mobile money transaction in Mainland Tanzania, and the collected levy involves transactions conducted in Tanzania Zanzibar, the Authority shall remit such levy levy has been collected 1 National Payment Systems (Electronic Mobile Money Transfer and Withdrawal Transactions Levy) (Amendment) GN.
