The Excise (Management and Tariff) (Remission) (1 Unit Landcruiser Prado TXL Manual) (M/S Rusumo Power Company Limited) Order, 2022

1. This Order may be cited as the Excise (Management and Tariff) (Remission) (1 Unit Landcruiser Prado TXL Manual) (M/S Rusumo Power Company Limited) Order, 2022 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 21st day of December, 2021.

2. Subject to the conditions specified in paragraph 3 and any other conditions as may be prescribed by the Commissioner General of Tanzania Revenue Authority, the whole of excise duty payable to the Motor Vehicle specified in the Schedule to this Order, imported or purchased locally prior to clearance through customs by or on behalf of M/S Rusumo Power Company Limited to be used in the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydro-electric Power generation facility located at Rusumo on River Kagera at the common boundary of the Republic of Rwanda and the United Republic of Tanzania is hereby remitted.

3. The remission granted under this Order shall cease to have effect and the excise duty shall become due and be payable as if this Order had not been made where the said vehicle is used for other purposes or is transferred, sold or disposed of in any way to another person not entitled to enjoy similar privileges conferred under this Order.
