1. This Notice may be cited as the Beekeeping (Maganze Mzaree National Bee Reserve) (Declaration) Notice, 2020. Area proposed to be declared

2. The area of land within the limits and boundaries defined in the Schedule to this Notice is hereby proposed to be declared as Maganze Mzaree National Bee Reserve. Purpose of declaration

3. The purpose for which the area of land described under paragraph 2 is proposed to be declared as Maganze Mzaree National Bee Reserve are as follows: (a) to produce high quality bee products for commercial purposes through good beekeeping methods; (b) to provide modern beekeeping extension services to the surrounding community; (c) to ensure reliable pollination to the forests and the agricultural crops around the proposed Maganze Mzaree National Bee Reserve; and (d) to help reduce invasion into forest for agriculture, charcoal community involvement in beekeeping activities and bee products business. through logging and 1 Beekeeping (Maganze Mzaree National Bee Reserve) (Declaration) GN NO. 702 (Contd.) 4. This Notice shall be valid for ninety days from the date of publication of this Notice within which any person or group of persons or a representative thereof may in writing: (a) object to; or (b) claim any rights based on and arising out of customary law in relation to beekeeping or gathering or use of the produce of bees within the area or any rights based on any other written law within the area of the proposed reserve.
