The Forest (Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve) Declaration

1. This Notice may be cited as The Forest (Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve) Declaration Notice, 2019. Notification Purpose

2. The area of reserved land within the limits and boundaries defined in the Schedule to this Notice is hereby proposed to be declared as Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve.

3. The Purposes for which Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve is proposed to be declared as Itulu Hill Nature Forest Reserve are: (a) to protect the threatened area of tropical lowland forest which is recognized for its high biodiversity value, with unique flora and fauna, including endangered species of plants and animals, some of which are threatened with extinction, hippopotamus in particular; and (b) to attain the intended management purposes, conservation of the forest land and wise use of forest resources in the forest area. Period of Time

4. This Notice will be valid for ninety (90) days from the date of publication within which any person or group of persons or a representative thereof may in writing: (a) object to; (b) make representations; or (c) claim any rights based on and or arising out of customary law in relation to land or forest produce 1 Forest (Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve) Declaration GN NO. 126 (contd) or any rights based on any other law within the area the subject of the proposed declaration of Pindiro Nature Forest Reserve

5. The Forest (Pindiro Territorial Forest Reserve) Order is hereby revoked.
