The Beekeeping (MlalokwaMtoro National Bee Reserve) (Declaration) Notice 2021

1. This Notice may be cited as the Beekeeping (Mialo- Kwamtoro National Bee Reserve) (Declaration) Notice, 2021. Area proposed to be declared

2. The area of land within the limits and boundaries defined in the Schedule of Map No. Jb 2937 of 2019 (Scale 1:12000) attached to this Notice is hereby proposed to be declared as Mialo-Kwamtoro National Bee Reserve. Purposes of declaration

3. The purposes for which the area of land described under paragraph 2 is proposed to be declared as Mialo- Kwamtoro National Bee Reserve are- (a) to produce high quality bee products for commercial purposes through good beekeeping methods; (b) to provide modern beekeeping extension services to the surrounding community; (c) to ensure reliable pollination to the forests and the the proposed Mialo- agricultural crops around Kwamtoro National Bee Reserve; and (d) to help reduce invasion into forest for agriculture, community through in beekeeping activities and bee logging and charcoal involvement products business. Validity of Notice

4. This Notice shall be valid for ninety days from the date of publication within which any person or group of persons or a representative thereof may in writing- (a) object to; 1 Beekeeping (Mialo -Kwamtoro National Bee Reserve) (Declaration) GN. (b) make representations about; or (c) claim, any rights based on and arising out of customary law in relation to beekeeping or gathering or use of the produce of bees within the area or any rights based on any other written law within the area of the proposed reserve.
