About this statute
This section says the Act may be cited as the Road Frontage Premia Act. This section defines key terms used in the Act. The Commissioner may apportion road construction or roadwork costs onto benefited nearby lands, and an occupier of such land is required to pay the road frontage premium. An occupier must pay the road frontage premium for the land, but the Commissioner must first serve written notice and payment cannot be required until 6 weeks after service. An aggrieved occupier may appeal to the Minister in writing within four weeks after receiving a notice.
