About this statute

A holder of a prospecting licence must keep full and accurate records of prospecting operations and submit copies to the Commission within the first month of every calendar quarter; the Commission may modify these requirements on application. A holder of a special mining licence must keep specified records at the section 125(2) address and send quarterly and annual reports to the Commission. Mining licence holders must keep the records referred to in section 125(2) and send the specified reports to the licensing authority within the first month of each calendar quarter. When a mineral right ends or certain mining licences expire, the former holder must give the licensing authority the required records and maps, and may also have to provide other documents if the authority gives written notice. When a mining-related licence expires, the former holder must deliver certain required records and plans or maps to the licensing authority.
