About this statute

The Board must include a Chairman and specified members, and the Chairman is appointed by the President while the other members are appointed by the Minister. The Board must choose one of its members to serve as Vice-Chairman. Board members may resign in writing to the appointing authority, and may be eligible for one further re-appointment term subject to stated conditions. The Chairman must preside at all Board meetings. If the Chairman is absent at a meeting, the Vice-Chairman must preside. If a Board member cannot attend because of illness, infirmity, or absence from the United Republic, the appointing authority may appoint a temporary member in that member’s place.
