Statute overview

About this statute

Board members must elect one of their number as Vice Chairman. A Board member serves for the term in the appointment instrument, or three years if no term is stated, and may resign by written notice to the appointing authority. If a Board member cannot perform duties because of absence, illness, or another sufficient cause, the appointing authority may appoint a temporary member. The Board must meet at least quarterly, and the Chairman or Vice Chairman handles calling and presiding at meetings. A Board meeting has quorum only if a majority of the members in office are present.
