Statute overview

About this statute

The Schedule still applies even though the Institute has a new status after the Act comes into force. Land vested in the National Transport Corporation for the Institute must be transferred to the Institute and vest there without further assurance. When this Act starts, the National Transport Corporation must deliver certain property and records to the Institute, or as the Council orders. Assets and liabilities connected to the Institute pass to it by succession, and the Institute may take possession of, recover, deal with, and discharge those liabilities. Certain pre-existing agreements involving the Corporation are treated, from the Act’s commencement, as if the Institute had been a party, and references to the Corporation are read as references to the Institute for later actions, subject to paragraph 6.
