About this statute
This section repeals the National Housing Corporation Act and the Acquisition of Buildings Act. Some existing directions and rules continue to apply, pending proceedings continue with the Corporation in place of the Registrar, and the Corporation may finish certain things started by the Registrar before the effective date. The Minister may allow certain former occupants or workers of the Registrar to deal with the house, work, or related things after the effective date, if the Board recommends it and the Minister is satisfied special circumstances make it just and equitable. This section sets out the Board’s membership and who appoints its members and Secretary. The members must elect one of their number as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
