Statute overview

About this statute

The Committee must include the listed members, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry must appoint a Ministry officer as the Committee’s secretary. The members must elect one of their number as the Vice-Chairman of the Committee. This section sets how long the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and certain Committee members hold office, and allows resignation by written notice to the Minister. If a Committee member stops being a member for any reason, the Minister may appoint someone else to take that place. The Chairman presides at Committee meetings; if absent, the Vice Chairman presides. If both are absent, the members must choose one of their number to act as Chairman for that meeting.
