About this statute

This section states the Act’s short title: it may be cited as the Transfer and Delegation of Powers Act. The President may, by Gazette order and subject to section 4, transfer powers or duties under written law and make related consequential amendments, retrospective effect, or later variation/revocation. The President and Ministers may delegate powers or duties by Gazette order, and can later revoke, vary, or give the order retrospective effect. The President and a Minister may not transfer or delegate certain powers or duties under this Act. This section repeals R.L. Caps. 1 and 444, with saving.
