Statute overview

About this statute

A Board member must hold office for three years from the date of appointment. The Board must meet at least four times a year, the Chairman must preside at every Board meeting, and if the Chairman is absent the members present must appoint an interim Chairman. A Board meeting has quorum only when half of the members in office are present. Board issues are decided by a majority of votes of members present, and the Chairman gets a casting vote if votes are equal. The Board must keep minutes of its meetings, and the Chairman must read, amend, and sign each meeting’s minutes at the next Board meeting.
