Statute overview
About this statute
This section sets the office terms for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Commission members, including re-appointment limits and termination rules. Most Commission members may resign at any time by written notice to the appointing authority. The Commission must meet at least four times a year, the Secretary must give members at least 14 days’ notice of meetings, and the Chairman or Vice Chairman must preside depending on who is present. A Commission member who is in office by virtue of his position may nominate someone from his organisation to attend a meeting for him if he cannot attend. A meeting of the Commission has a quorum only if half of the members are present.
