Statute overview
About this statute
At the commission’s first meeting, its members must elect a Vice Chairman. Commission members serve for three years and can be re-appointed once unless their membership ends for misconduct or unexplained absence from three consecutive Commission meetings. The Commission must meet at least three times a year, and the Chairman or Vice Chairman handles ordinary meetings; special meetings can be convened in writing with support from at least three members. Five members make a quorum for a meeting of the Commission. The Commission may co-opt any person to attend its meeting, but the co-opted person has no right to vote.
