Statute overview
About this statute
The members must elect one of their own as Vice-Chairman of the Board. Board members serve for three years, may be re-appointed for another three years, and may resign by written notice to the Minister. A Board member who holds office by virtue of another office may nominate someone from their organisation to attend a meeting if they cannot attend. If a member leaves office early, the appointing authority may appoint a replacement, who serves for the rest of the predecessor’s term. The Board must meet at least once every three months. The Chairman, or the Vice-Chairman if the Chairman is absent, presides at meetings and may call special meetings. Non-members may be invited to participate in deliberations, but they cannot vote.
