褒揚條例

This provision says the ordinance is enacted to commend people who have contributed to the nation through virtue, achievements, or words.

本條例自公布日施行。

This provision lists the kinds of people or achievements that may be commended under the statute.

This provision lists two ways to confer commendation: issuing an official commendation or presenting a plaque.

除總統特頒者外，明令褒揚或題頒匾額須先經行政院呈請；呈請明令褒揚時，還要綜整生平事蹟並提經行政院會議通過。

符合指定事蹟條件的受褒揚人，可以在其逝世後入祀國民革命忠烈祠或地方忠烈祠。

受明令褒揚的人，其生平事蹟得送交國史館，並可列入省（市）縣（市）志。

如果受褒揚後查明事蹟不實，原褒揚案會被撤銷，並追繳褒揚品。

符合第二條所列任一情形的外國人，得予褒揚。

本條例的施行細則由行政院會同考試院訂定。
