政治檔案條例
This provision states the law is enacted to create a system for opening political archives while protecting privacy, and to support historical research, transitional justice education, truth disclosure, social reconciliation, and handling archive collection, organization, preservation, access, research, and education.

About this statute
Certain political archives must be made available for viewing, copying, or reproduction by the Archives Bureau, unless a listed non-disclosure ground applies. 政治檔案中列出的特定人員姓名、化名、代號和職稱,應提供閱覽、抄錄或複製,並不適用國家情報工作法第八條。 檔案局在作成第八條至第十條申請決定前,可以書面通知相關機關表示意見;受通知機關應在十日內回覆。若申請人有急迫情事,也可以書面理由請求優先處理政治檔案閱覽、抄錄或複製申請。 檔案局負責訂定申請閱覽、抄錄或複製政治檔案的收費標準;檔案當事人申請其案件相關政治檔案時,同一檔案可免收一次費用,死亡後由配偶或法定繼承人申請者也適用。 If an open political archive involves a disputed matter, the Archives Bureau may convene a review with related agencies, group representatives, scholars, experts, and socially impartial persons, excluding people listed in Article 11.
