水陸地圖審查條例

Published domestic land-water maps need review approval before they may be registered for issuance, except maps compiled by the Ministry of the Interior or the Ministry of National Defense.

本條例自公布日開始施行。

內政部負責辦理水陸地圖審查事務，並應召集國防部、教育部、外交部及地政部專門人員共同審查。

在國外印行本國水陸地圖者，未經審查認可，不得在國內發行或出售。

This provision lists the kinds of maps and charts covered: domestic territory maps, domestic waterway navigation charts, internationally used charts published domestically, and other related geographic maps and charts.

The chart review items include boundary location, place names, records and measurements, map style and colors, the responsible surveying agency, and other related matters.

If the Ministry of National Defense considers a published map or waterway chart to be military-related, the Ministry of the Interior must prohibit its issuance.

People who violate Articles 1 and 3 may be fined up to 500 yuan, and their publications may also be confiscated.

If someone violates the Article 6 ban on issuance, they are punished under criminal law and their publications are confiscated.

本條例的施行細則由內政部訂定。
