中央主管機關要定期調查原住民族語言能力及使用狀況,並公布結果;教育主管機關要配合協助調查各級學校學生的相關情況。 中央主管機關應辦理原住民族語言能力認證,且該認證免徵規費。 政府應規劃並推動原住民族語言的國際交流政策。 原住民在政府機關處理行政、立法或司法程序時,可以用原住民族語言陳述意見,機關應聘請通譯;中央主管機關並應建立原住民族語言人才資料庫。 原住民族地區內的政府機關(構)、學校和公營事業機構,可以用地方通行語書寫公文書。
