駐外使領館組織條例

駐外使領館分為四類：大使館、公使館、總領事館、領事館。

使館館長依外交部命令管理使館事務，辦理本國與駐在國間的外交業務及外交部指定的其他事務，並指揮監督轄區內領館。

在使館館長未派定前或獲准離任時，外交部要指定一名該館高級館員擔任代辦。

領館館長要依外交部命令管理館務，辦理領事業務及外交部指定的其他事項；同一駐在國內有使館時，還要受使館館長指揮監督。

在未設領館的地方，可以酌情設立商務代表處，或酌情派任名譽領事。

使領館經外交部核准後，可以就地遴用本國或外國國籍人員作為雇員。

Embassy-affiliated institutions must be set up according to law, and certain overseas-related bodies and personnel are subject to supervision by the embassy chief.

外交部有權訂定使領館辦事細則。

本條例自公布日起施行。

The embassy is to have one ambassador and specified diplomatic officers, and if embassy business is heavy it may also have one minister.

公使館 must set one minister plenipotentiary and the listed diplomatic officers; if its business is heavy, it may also set one counsellor.

A consulate may have specified consular officers, and if its business is heavy it may appoint one deputy consul general.

領事館應設置列明的領事官員，包括1名領事及1至5名副領事。

大使館、公使館要設主事1至7人；總領事館、領事館要設主事1至4人。

Embassies, legations, consulates general, and consulates are each headed by the corresponding ambassador, minister, consul general, or consul.

外交部可以視實際情況，減少或不設置第二條至第六條所定、駐外使領館館長以外的員額。

外交部可因實際需要聘用專門人才，派到駐外使領館辦事；聘用名額不得超過不含館長的法定總員額2%。
