中華民國五十七年度愛國公債發行條例

中華民國五十七年度愛國公債的發行，依本條例規定辦理。

Interest on government bonds is exempt from income tax.

The public bond issuance/placement method is to be separately prescribed.

This provision says the regulation takes effect on the date it is promulgated.

This provision sets the bond amount at NT$600 million and leaves the issuance date to the Executive Yuan.

The bond is issued in five bearer denominations: NT$500, NT$1,000, NT$5,000, NT$10,000, and NT$50,000.

This provision sets the bond interest rate at 4% per year.

This provision sets a 12-year bond repayment term, with interest-only payments for the first 2 years and six-monthly payments from issuance; principal and interest are then repaid over the next 10 years in 20 installments.

公債債票如果遺失、被盜或滅失，不得辦理掛失止付，且不適用民法所列的相關規定。

The bond principal-and-interest fund is entered into the national budget each year and is expected to be transferred to the managing bank for safekeeping and readiness.

中央銀行負責經理本公債的募銷、還本與付息。

This public bond may be freely traded, pledged, used as a public guarantee, and used as reserve collateral for the financial industry.
