軍公教遺族就學費用優待條例

This provision states that the statute is enacted to support the schooling of dependents of military, public service, and teaching personnel.

本條例自公布日起施行。

This provision defines “military, government, and education survivors” and defines “military, government, and education personnel.”

符合條件的軍公教遺族就學，可享全額或半額公費優待；部分遺族也可依主管教育行政機關規定減免學雜費。

This provision lists the items covered by public subsidy and says tuition and miscellaneous fees follow the competent education authority’s rules, while the remaining fees are handled differently for tertiary schools and lower-level schools.

軍公教遺族若同時符合本條例及其他政府教育補助優待規定，應擇一申請。

軍公教遺族申請就學費用優待時，必須檢具指定機關核發的相關證明文件，並在學校規定期限內辦理申請。

學校受理前條申請後，應報請主管教育行政機關核定；經核定後，優待可持續到畢業為止。

軍公教遺族就學優待的費用，公立學校的學費及雜費由學校直接減免；其他費用由學校或主管教育行政機關編列預算支應；私立學校則由主管教育行政機關編列預算補助。

Students who lose the listed eligibility conditions must stop receiving the tuition-fee concession. If a student suspends studies or withdraws during a semester, food allowances stop from the month of leaving school, and already issued amounts need not be recovered. If the student later returns or re-enrolls, the same semester’s already-conceded fees may not be claimed again.
